The Sacred Heart baseball team kept its season alive with an 11-6 win at Beloit in the regional quarterfinals on Monday.

The Knights took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning, but Beloit cut the lead in half in the fourth. In the fifth inning, Sacred Heart got the run back, but the Trojans then surged into the lead by scoring five times in the bottom half to lead 6-3.

The Knight offense then went to work. Sacred Heart scored three runs of their own in the sixth to tie the game, and then regained the lead and added some insurance with a five-run seventh inning, holding on for the win.

Beloit committed six errors in the game.

Drew Gormley was the winning pitcher in relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and striking out two. Jake Bulleigh had two hits for the Knights.
