A suspect in the theft of a statue of baseball legend Jackie Robinson is pleading guilty to the crime.

Forty-five-year-old Ricky Alderete entered the plea yesterday in Sedgwick County District Court.

The statue was cut from its base at McAdams Park in Wichita on January 26th and destroyed.

Alderete will be sentenced on July 1st.
