Central Volleyball Continues Hot Streak

The Salina Central volleyball team continued its hot start to the season, picking up a 25-9, 25-12 win over Derby and a 25-19, 25-16 win over Salina South in a triangular at the South gym.
Against Derby, Central never trailed in cruising to a pair of wins.
Against South, the Cougars were within a point in game one late before Central pulled away for the win. In game two, South led 12-11, but Central scored six straight points to take control.
Shaelyn Martin had 32 kills, 17 digs and 15 assists. Brooke Peters added 29 digs and six kills.
The Mustangs are at Valley Center’s tournament on Saturday.
