The Kansas State Wildcats are 2-0.

K-State handled Charlotte 55-7 on Saturday. Both sides of the ball played well in the dominating victory.

Defensively, defensive back Kendall Adams had a game. He had an interception and fumble recovery for touchdowns, making him the first Wildcat to do so since 1999. The 49ers were held to just 168 yards of total offense, including 58 through the air.

For the Cats, quarterback Jesse Ertz was 16-for-21 passing with 178 yards. He gained another 76 on the ground to go with a score.

Tailback Alex Barnes spearheaded the rushing onslaught, racking up 99 yards and a touchdown. KSU accumulated 304 yards on the ground.

Things get a bit tougher for the No. 18 Wildcats when they face a SEC program in Vanderbilt on the road. Vandy is 2-0. Kickoff at 6:30, pregame at 4:30 on 1150 KSAL.

On Tuesday, head coach Bill Snyder met with media members to break down the upcoming game and recap the big win.
