Southeast’s Season Ends in Beloit

The Southeast of Saline Trojans saw their season end on Tuesday night with a 50-7 loss to top-ranked Beloit in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Southeast struggled to move the football, gaining just 104 yards on the game, with 99 yards on the ground. Keith Short had 14 carries for 47 yards, while Matt Helvey added 32 yards rushing.

Beloit racked up 544 yards of offense, with 397 yards rushing.

Ben Murray had Southeast’s lone touchdown late in the game, scoring on a 22-yard run.

Southeast ends the season at 7-3. Beloit advances to face Holcomb on Saturday.
