KWU’s Ngwa Earns KCAC Defensive Player of Week

Kansas Wesleyans Blessing Ngwa earns the KCACs first Mens Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2013 as the conference released its first Player of the Week awards on Tuesday.

Ngwa, a junior goalkeeper from Bamenda, Cameroon, was phenomenal in his debut for the Coyotes on Sunday against No. 12 ranked Columbia (Mo.) College in Columbia, Mo.

Ngwa recorded 11 saves in Wesleyans 1-0 win over the Cougars for his first career shutout and first career double-digit saves match with the Coyotes.

Ngwas effort helped the No. 23 ranked Coyotes even their record at 1-1 overall. Wesleyan is back in action on Friday when the Coyotes head to Bethany, Okla., to take on Southwestern Christian University at 4 p.m
