KWU Women’s Golf Third at Sterling

Kansas Wesleyan’s Kamie Rash (SR/Syracuse, Kan.) won her third tournament in as many tries in the spring season and helped the Coyote Women’s Golf team to a third place finish at the Sterling College Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Carey Park in Hutchinson.
Rash has now won seven of the nine tournaments she has played in this season and is currently ranked No. 33 in the NAIA among women’s golf individuals.
Rash won the tournament with a score of 157 (77-80), winning by seven shots over Central Baptist’s Rachel Harmon. Kelcey Edwards(FR/Spring Hill, Kan.) finished 14th with a 184 (96-88), Morgan Maxey (FR/Salina, Kan.) finished 28th with a 206 (90-116), Monika Grant (SO/Salina, Kan.) finished 29th with a 213 (111-102) and Alia Neubrandt(JR/Syracuse, Kan.) finished 36th with a 233 (124-109).
The Coyotes finished third as a team with a team score of 753, just one shot behind NCAA-II opponent Oklahoma Panhandle State. Southwestern was the team champion with a team score of 684.
Wesleyan returns to action on next Monday and Tuesday in the Southwestern Spring Invitational at the Winfield Country Club in Winfield.
