Southeast Volleyball Sweeps Sacred Heart

The Southeast of Saline volleyball team finished an unbeaten run through the North Central Activities Association with 25-16, 25-15 and 25-21, 25-22 wins at Sacred Heart on Tuesday night.

The Trojans are 32-4 overall and finished 12-0 in the NCAA.

Sacred Heart dropped to 19-17 and 7-5 in the NCAA with the losses.

Southeast was led by Lindsay Poague’s 20 digs, 13 kills and five blocks. McKenna White had 13 digs, eight kills and six blocks. Erica Montgomery had 18 kills and 14 digs. Calli Calahan chipped in 39 assists. Hannah Puetz picked up 11 kills and six blocks. Catherine Conley had 10 points and nine digs.

Sacred Heart was paced by Haley Rapp’s 13 kills, seven points and two blocks. Cara Donley had 10 kills, nine points and five digs. Sarah Dix added 16 assists. Maddie Donatell had nine assists and four digs. Maggie Doll and Megan Stein both had seven digs. Makenzie Kack added three digs.

Southeast of Saline plays in the Marion sub-state on Saturday, while Sacred Heart plays in the Minneapolis sub-state.
