K-State’s Musical Quarterbacks Hitting Right Note

Mike Hammett - November 6, 2013 6:13 am

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – Kansas State coach Bill Snyder is using quarterbacks Jake Waters and Daniel Sams in what looks a lot like a game of musical chairs.

Waters heads onto the field for the first series. Sams replaces him. Waters goes back out when the Wildcats need a spark. Sams does the same thing.

The system seems to be working.

The quarterbacks have played flawlessly over the past two weeks in wins over West Virginia and Iowa State. They’ve thrown five touchdown passes without an interception while running for another score, finally giving some life to the Kansas State offense.

The Wildcats play at No. 25 Texas Tech on Saturday.
