Friday Hoops Preview: Busy Friday in Saline County

Tonight presents a final opportunity for high school basketball teams to prepare for next week’s mid-season tournaments. All games tip-off at 6pm. Those with broadcast coverage have pregame coverage starting at 5:50.

On SportsRadio 1150 KSAL, Salina Central travels to Derby. The Mustang girls are 8-0 overall and 5-0 in AVCTL Division I, while the Panthers are 3-6 overall and 1-4 in league play. In the boys game, Central enters at 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the league, while Derby is 6-3 overall and 4-1 in league play.

On Y93.7, Salina South entertains Hutchinson. The Cougar girls picked up their first win on Tuesday to get to 1-7 and 1-4 in AVCTL Division I, while Hutch is 4-4, 2-3 in the league. The South boys are 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the league, while Hutch is 3-5 and 2-3 in the league.

On Classic Hits 104.9, Sacred Heart visits Ellsworth. The Knight girls are 2-6 and 0-4 in the NCAA while Ellsworth is 5-3 and 2-2 in the league. The Knight boys are 6-2, 3-1 in the league, while Ellsworth is 2-6 and 1-3 in league play.

Southeast of Saline hosts Republic County. The Trojan girls are 6-2 and 2-2 in the NCAA. Republic County is 3-6 and 2-3 in the league. The Trojan boys are 6-2 and 2-2 in the NCAA, while the Buffaloes are 4-5 and 2-3 in the league.

Ell-Saline visits Canton-Galva. Ell-Saline’s girls are 6-3 and 1-2 in the Heart of America League, while Canton-Galva is 3-6, 1-2 in the league. Ell-Saline’s boys are 4-5 and 1-2 in the HOA, while Canton-Galva is 3-6 and 0-3 in the HOA.
