December 2021 was quite warm and dry for most. According to the National Weather Service, it was the warmest ever December for the Salina area.   The agency says overall, 2021 was warmer than normal, with a mix of above and below normal precipitation.

Dangerous wind chills of -10 to -25 degrees will affect the entire area Sunday morning. Warmer temperatures will return to the region for early this week, with highs in the 40s and 50s Monday and Tuesday.
