Thousands of pounds of French fries are destroyed in a semitrailer fire. The Geary County Sheriff's Office says a semi was traveling on I-70 east of Milford Lake yesterday morning when its rear tires caught fire. A trailer containing 30-thousand pounds of French fries was destroyed in the blaze. No injuries were reported in the incident.
