Most Kansas counties are turning down new shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine. Sixty-two counties across the state will not get new vaccines this week because officials say not enough unvaccinated residents want the shot. As of Wednesday, nearly 37 percent of Kansas residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

A teenager is accused of setting a fire at a southwestern Kansas meatpacking plant. The blaze was reported early Sunday morning at the National Beef plant in Liberal. Crews were able to contain the fire, and police were able to determine who started the blaze. The 18-year-old suspect was booked for aggravated arson.
