The Draft Horse Pull scheduled for tonight at Chisholm Trail Days in Old Abilene Town has been cancelled. The heavy rains from Thursday have made the arena too muddy for the event to safely proceed. All other events for Friday night and throughout the day on Saturday will proceed as scheduled.

A vehicle-bicycle accident on Wednesday has left one person injured. Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus tells KSAL News that at 5:52 p.m., a vehicle hit a bicyclist at the intersection of E. A Haysville school is evacuated after a transformer caught fire. The Haysville School District says a transformer outside Nelson Elementary School caught fire yesterday morning.
