A deer poaching incident is under investigation in Barber County. A landowner reported on Sunday that deer had been shot on his property and left. The large whitetail deer was found with its antlers removed. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is investigating the incident.

Reno County is dealing with a spike in drug overdoses. The Reno County Health Department issued a health alert after five overdoses were reported in a 24-hour period. The overdoses are believed to primarily involved methamphetamine, opioids and fentanyl. One of the incidents was fatal.
