A bicyclist is dead following an accident on a southeast Kansas highway. Local authorities say it happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday on K-66 west of Galena. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 47-year-old David Furry was crossing the highway when he was hit by a westbound SUV. He reportedly died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
