The body of a drowning victim is recovered from a Kansas lake.

Authorities say 48-year-old Ty Freel of Wichita went missing while water skiing on Cheney Lake this past weekend.

The Reno County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that a fisherman spotted the body and called the Cheney State Park Office.

ORIGINAL: Crews are searching for a water skier who drowned at Cheney Lake.

The Reno County Sheriff’s Office says a person went missing while skiing on the lake near M&M Point Campground yesterday afternoon.

Search efforts are expected to resume this morning, and authorities say it could take a few days to find the missing man.
