KS Bill to Keep Transgender Athletes from Competing in Girls’ Sports Moves Ahead

Kansas lawmakers are moving ahead with a measure that would ban transgender athletes from participating in girls’ or women’s school sports.

The bill, which enjoys strong support in the Sunflower State’s GOP-dominated legislature, would require female athletic teams to only include females biological at birth.

LGBTQ-rights advocates reportedly oppose the measure. Governor Laura Kelly has already signaled her intention to veto the bill if it passes.
