Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is ordering an external audit of fraudulent claims paid out by the Kansas Department of Labor.

Kelly says she requested the audit because of discrepancies in the Kansas Legislative Post Audit Division’s report and the labor department’s audit.

The post audit division says the department of labor paid out 600-million-dollars in fraudulent claims, while the department of labor claims that the total from 2020 is about 290-million-dollars.
