A group of bystanders is being credited for helping put out a fire at the Kansas State Fair.

The blaze was reported yesterday morning in a booth at the grandstand on the state fairgrounds.

Bystanders used fire extinguishers to knock down the fire before emergency crews arrived. Investigators say the fire was caused by a faulty extension cord, and no injuries were reported.
