A new seating capacity is announced at Allen Fieldhouse at the University of Kansas. KU Athletics officials announced yesterday that the second phase of a 50-million-dollar renovation project will feature more chairback seats and additional Americans with Disabilities Act seating. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is releasing its annual crime index report. According to the report, violent crime in Kansas decreased by three-point-seven percent from 2022 to 2023. Property crimes increased by two-point-six percent during that same period. Despite the recent decline, violent crime in Kansas was still eight-point-six percent above the 10-year average.
