Woman’s Tirade Leads to Arrest

A Salina woman was taken into custody after she allegedly went on a violent tirade at a former boyfriend’s apartment.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that 25-year-old Miranda Craig was arrested on Monday afternoon after a concerned citizen called authorities after seeing Craig try to hit a man with her SUV in a parking lot at 2130 E. Crawford.

Investigators learned that the incident began just after lunchtime when Craig knocked on the door and entered the 29-year-old man’s apartment. Police say she became enraged when she found two, 20-year-old women inside with him and began hitting both and pulling their hair.

The two ran out of the third story apartment while the ex-boyfriend held Craig down.

Moments later she got up and threw a candle, cell phone and a Nintendo gaming system off the balcony at the women who were standing down in the parking lot.

Loss and damage is listed at $1,275.

Craig is now facing multiple charges that could include domestic violence, aggravated assault and felony damage to property plus driving on a revoked license. No one required medical treatment.
