Woman Killed In Fiery Crash

A woman is killed in a crash Thursday morning when her SUV rolls and catches fire.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Rebecca Drummond of Hays was driving a 1995 Chevy Blazer west on Interstate 70. She swerved into the passing lane, lost control, and rolled multiple times. The SUV came to rest on its wheels and caught on fire.

Drummond was transported to Trego County Memorial Hospital in Wakeeney where she died. 1-year-old Vincent Drummond was hurt, and was also transported to Trego County Memorial Hospital.

Troopers say that both victims were buckled up.

The crash happened at 2:57 Thursday morning on Interstate 70 in Trego County.
