Woman Finds Man Half Naked; Stops Burglary in Progress

A Salina woman came home to find a burglary in progress–with a half naked man standing in her garage.

Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that dispatch received a call of a burglary in progress in the 700 block on Meadowbrook on Wednesday at 1:20 p.m.

Forrester says that 37-year-old woman came home and found clothing sticking out of the door of the detached garage at the residence. When she opened a door, she saw a white male standing inside of the garage, naked from the waist down. The woman then immediately called authorities.

When law enforcement arrived, they found the half-naked man still in the garage wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers hat belonging to the victim and he had a Google speaker with Sawzall blade in his backpack.

Police arrested 36-year-old Salina man, Cole Zobel on burglary and theft charges.
