Vikings lose double header to Pratt

The Smoky Valley Girls played an even first quarter with state ranked Pratt trailing only 9 to 6 and kept it fairly even trailing 19-14 at the half. But the third quarter saw Pratt outscore the Vikings 22-12 and then went on to win 59-37. Haxton and Haxton led the Vikings with 10 points each. The Vikings fall to 4-13 on the season.

In Guys action Smoky Valley led 14-8 after 1 and 26-18 at the half. Then in third quarter Pratt trimmed the lead to just 2 35-33, and extended it to 5 with just under 2 minutes left in regulation. The Vikings did close strong and get the game to overtime tied at 49 all only to see Pratt race to a 10-2 advantage in Overtime, winning 62-55. Lane Schrag and Cade Schneider each had 15 to lead the Vikings who fall to 7-10 on the season. They will be in action on Tuesday at Nickerson.
