Vehicle Burglary At Jerry Ivey Park

An unknown suspect broke into a Salina woman’s car at Jerry Ivey Park.

Salina Police told media; Around 5:00 PM on April 3rd, Brenda Shultz parked her 2018 Kia Sorento on the west side of Jerry Ivey Park. Around 40 minutes later she returned to her car and discovered the back passenger window was shattered.

Her purse was stolen from the passenger side floorboard. The purse contained her wallet, ID, and prescription eyeglasses. The estimated loss is $1065

When the unknown suspect broke the window they also managed to damage the door resulting in $600 of damage.

The total loss is estimated to be around $1,665

No witnesses have come forward and there are no suspects.
