USD 305 Teachers Welcomed Back To School

Salina USD 305 teachers returned to the classroom this week. Teachers began returning on Monday, and by Wednesday all were back.

All of the teachers in the district gathered Wednesday morning at Central High School. They were welcomed back by Superintendent Bill Hall.

District students will all return next week. A special schedule will usher in the beginning of the new school year for Salina USD 305 students. All students will return Tuesday, except grades 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12.

Elementary Schools

Elementary students will attend a full day on Aug. 11. Regular school hours are 8:30 a.m.-3:25 p.m. for all elementary schools. Morning kindergarten students attend 8:30-11:25 a.m. and afternoon kindergarten students attend 12:30-3:25 p.m.

Middle School Orientation
Orientation for sixth grade students at Lakewood and South middle schools will be from 7:35 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Students will meet teachers, staff and fellow classmates, tour their school building and learn about school rules and expectations. Lunch will be served.
All students at Lakewood and South middle schools, including seventh and eighth grade students, will attend on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 7:35 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Regular middle school hours for the 15-16 school year are 7:35 a.m-2:30 p.m.

High School Orientation
Orientation for Central and South high schools’ freshmen and new students will be Tuesday, Aug. 11, 7:35 a.m.-2:35 p.m. Lunch will be served.
All students at Central and South high schools, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, will attend Wednesday, Aug. 12, 7:35 a.m.-2:35 p.m. Lunch will be served.
Regular high school hours for the 15-16 school year are 7:35 a.m.-2:35 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m.- 2:35 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Bus Transportation
Bus transportation will begin August 11.
