Salina Police are investigating a couple of unrelated assaults. Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 21-year-old Dominic Grogans was walking up to his apartment early Monday morning around 3:15am when he was attacked by two men. The victim told officers he was hit in the head by a black man and another man described as a Hispanic or Asian. The two then entered his apartment and removed items that were not disclosed. Grogans was not treated for swelling on his left ear.

Police are also looking into an attack that happened early Sunday morning around 3:30am in the 1800 block of Shady Bend in west Salina. Police say 32-year-old Benjamin Tiller was sleeping in his car when he was awakened by a white male and hit in the face with a pistol. Tiller had contusions on his left cheek and his eye was swollen shut.
