A zookeeper is recovering after being attacked by a tiger at a Kansas zoo.
The incident happened at the Topeka Zoo. Officials say the keeper suffered lacerations and puncture wounds to her head, neck and arm on Saturday morning.
Zoo officials say the keeper and Sanjiv the Sumatran tiger were both in the outdoor enclosure at the time of the incident, which was witnessed by zoo visitors.
The injured zookeeper was reported awake and alert when she was taken to a hospital.
Zoo officials say they are not considering euthanizing the tiger involved in the attack.
