Three people are hurt in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Interstate 70 west of Salina.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Mark Armstrong from Conroe, Texas, was driving a semi east on I 70. He took his eyes off the road as he bent over to get something off floor. The truck and utility trailer veered into the median and overturned onto the driver’s side.

Armstrong and two passengers were all transported to Salina Regional Health Center. The patrol says that Armstrong was buckled and the two passengers were not.

The crash happened at 1:37 Monday morning on I 70 just west of the junction with I 135.
