A suspected dogfighting ring is busted in northeast Kansas.

Authorities seized 45 dogs and arrested one man Thursday morning in Bendena.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says the dogs lived in deplorable conditions and some of them had scars and injuries commonly seen in dogfighting.

Twenty-eight-year-old Colton Albright was booked on 42 counts of dogfighting as well as drug possession.
