Saturday Snow and Ice

Another mix of wintry weather is anticipated Saturday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, a light wintry mix of snow, freezing drizzle, sleet and freezing rain is expected across the region Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Light accumulations are possible, making for patchy slick roads.

It should be dry, but very cold Sunday into Monday. Chilly temperatures and a breezy north wind will support wind chills from around 5 below zero to 5 above late Sunday night through early Monday morning.

Confidence is increasing that periods of light to moderate snow will occur Tuesday through Tuesday night across the region. While some uncertainty still exists, the latest data suggests 1-3 inches are possible.

Stay tuned for later forecasts.
