A locally owned independent restaurant in South Salina has closed.

9th Street Diner, located in the Fountain Plaza at 2100 S. Ninth Street has closed its doors for good. The restaurant made the announcement via social media late Thursday afternoon.

The restaurant had been in business in Salina since January of 2016.

9th Street Diner offered a breakfast and lunch menu.
