KSAL StaffDecember 17, 2015

A Salina man was one of two people killed in a three vehicle crash in southern Kansas Thursday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2003 Ford Econoline van driven by 22-year-old Yvonne Butticci of Salina was headed south on K-61 Highway. The van crossed the center line and sideswiped a semi driven by 57-year-old Larry Ankney of Muskogee, Oklahoma. The van then continued into the northbound lane. It hit head-on a 2005 Toyota Prius driven by 39-year-old Teresa Roach of Pratt.

Roach was killed in the crash. A passenger in the van, 32-year-old Alan Stagg of Salina, was also killed. Butticci was hurt, and was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Ankey wasn’t hurt.

The crash happened at 7:00 Thursday morning in Prattt County, about 1 mile east of Preston on K-61 Highway.
