A concerned citizen contacted authorities after noticing the glass door at a Salina business was shattered.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that officers were called to the FedEx facility located at 3450 Centennial Drive around noon time on Sunday.

Police report a safe that was bolted to the floor with a small amount of cash inside was taken.

Staff told police that the thieves may have been tipped off that just the day before – the safe had been stuffed full of money. Loss and damage is listed at just under $1,000.

Captain Forrester says the investigation is ongoing.
