The Lady Buffaloes got revenge for a big loss to Sacred Heart earlier in the season downing the Lady Knights 54-40. The Sacred Heart boys rebounded from the Tuesday loss to Beloit winning 55-37 over Republic County. It was Senior Night for Sacred Heart.
GIRLS:
After falling by 18 points on their home court earlier this season, the Republic County Lady Buffs turned the tables on the Knights in Salina Friday night winning by 14.
Sacred Heart’s Emilee Everett, a sophomore, was the leading scorer in the game with 15 and junior Hannah Goetz just missed double figures with 9 points. However, the Knights only got 3 points from its bench players.
Meanwhile, Republic County got 21 bench points to help out starting juniors Alexis Hansen and Izzy Wheeler who tallied 13 and 9 points respectively.
Sacred Heart is now 8-11 on the year and will finish out the regular season Tuesday with a trip to Ellsworth.

BOYS:
Junior Tate Herrenbruck and senior Charlie Skidmore were the only Knights in double figures, but it was more than enough as Sacred Heart rolled past Republic County by 18 points Friday night. Herrenbruck led the Knight attack with 17 points and Skidmore chipped in with 13.
The Buffaloes were led in scoring by senior Ethan Nutsch who came off the bench to score 13. After that it was pretty slim pickins for the Buffs who got 6 points apiece from senior Zach Parde and juniors Clint Callaway and Tate Lapo.
The Knights improved to 15-5 and locked up second place in the NCAA. They will join the Sacred Heart girls in Ellsworth for the regular season finale on Tuesday.
