KSAL StaffJune 12, 2013
Authorities in Pottawatomie County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing girl from St. Marys.

Authorities in Pottawatomie County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing girl from St. Marys.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 17-year-old Anne Bernadette Cooney went missing May 31.

“At this point, they feel that she could still be around the St. Marys area, but at the same time it’s not for sure,” Riat said. “Anybody that might run across her or see her, we’d sure appreciate a phone call.

“Her parents are very worried and we’d like to get her back home.”

Riat describes Cooney as a white female standing 5’10 and weighing 135 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Pottawatomie Co. Sheriff’s Office or St. Marys Police at 785 – 437 – 2012.
