Local law enforcement are warning community residents of potential medicare scam calls.

Salina Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that they have received two different calls from residents who were called by someone trying to sell medical equipment, specifically knee and back braces.

In both incidents on Feb. 4 and 11, the scammer asked the victims for information from their medicare cards.

Forrester is reminding the public that this is not a legitimate business.
