Jeremy BohnJanuary 2, 2019

Salina Police are investigating after several power tools were stolen from a home under construction in south Salina.

Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that the power tools were stolen sometime between Dec. 29 at 12:30 p.m. and Dec. 31 at 8:30 a.m. from a new-build home at 2708 Shoreline.

The victims work for Bhakta Construction and include 35-year-old Lindsborg man, Jacob Wrench, and 60-year-old Salina man, Stephen Barkley.

The suspect forced entry in to the home by forcing through the back door of the property, entering in to the garage. Miscellaneous power tools were stolen–mostly Milwaukee and DeWalt brands with purple spray paint to mark ownership.

Total loss and damage is listed at $3,700.
