McConnell Air Force Base is preparing for the arrival of the new KC-46 tanker.

Base officials say training operations are continuing until the aircraft arrives later this month.

Crews are receiving hands-on training with a replica of the KC-46. Officials say the KC-46 is designed to be faster, less expensive and fly longer distances.
