Man Steals 2 Cell Phones from Wal-Mart

Salina Police are in search for a male suspect whole ran out of a store with two stolen phones.

Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that the theft happened at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday at Wal-Mart, 2900 S. 9th in Salina. Police are searching for a black male wearing khaki pants, an orange shirt with a blue and white flannel shirt on top, with a blue and white stripped hat and a black scarf.

The suspect went to the electronics department and asked to look at three iPhones. Wal-Mart’s policy is that customers can only look at two phones at the same time. The clerk pulled out two to allow the man to look, when he grabbed the phones and ran out of the store.

Forrester says a rose gold colored iPhone XS Max 512G valued at $1,500 and a black XS Max 256G iphone valued at $1,300 were both stolen.

Police continue to review surveillance video which had a good view of the suspect. The total loss is listed at $2,800.
