Kansas BOR Approves Tuition Hike

Students at Kansas’ six public universities will soon be paying higher tuition costs.

The Kansas Board of Regents approved the tuition increases yesterday. The average tuition increases range from 48-dollars per semester at Fort Hays State University to 137-dollars per semester at the University of Kansas. Officials at the public universities say the increases were necessary due to four-percent budget cuts approved by the legislature two years ago.
