A Kansas High School senior earned free college tuition thanks to her basketball skills.
Herington High Schools’s Mckenzie Shippy entered a basketball skills contest at Friend’s University. When her name was drawn as part of Saturday night’s Hoops Hysteria challenge she had thirty seconds to hit a free throw, then a three pointer and finally a half court shot.
The crowd erupted after Shippy hit all three shots. The winning shot won her a year’s free tuition.
Shippy will start school at Friends University in August. She plans to major in Business Administration, and oh by the way…she will play for the women’s basketball team.
FREE TUITION!Last night, future Lady Falcon basketball player, Kenzie Shippy, nailed a half-court shot at the buzzer to win FREE Tuition next year! Kenzie is currently a senior at Herington High School.
