Kids in and around the Salina area will have a couple of opportunities to hunt Easter eggs this weekends. Rolling Hills Zoo is hosting its ZOOrific EGGstravaganza, and the Salina VFW is hosting its Easter Eggstravaganza.
ZOOrific EGGstravaganza – Saturday April 13th
The event at Rollings Hills Zoo is an all-day event. Kids can enjoy the egg hunt on their own time .
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
• Egg Hunt at the Bunny Patch
• Face Painting on the Restaurant Patio ($2 minimum donation)
• Overlook Restaurant Special
• Keeper Encounters Throughout the Day
Special Golden Eggs will be hidden at the event. During ZOOrific EGGstravaganza at Rolling Hills Zoo there will be three Golden Eggs hidden within viewing distance from public walking paths. Find one of the Golden Eggs and turn it into the Safari Station Gift Shop at the Zoo entrance, and win a $100 Gift Certificate.
Kids can meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. You can Take your own photos, or purchase an RHZ framed photo for $8.
Salina VFW Easter Eggstravaganza – Sunday April 14th
The VFW Auxiliary will host its 3rd annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Sunday afternoon.
The free event is from 1 till 3. Children ages 1 to 10 are invited.
Organizers have filled filled over 2000 eggs. There will be other special prizes as well. Cookies and punch will be served.
The VFW Easter Eggstravaganza event will be at VFW Post 1432 at 1108 W. Crawford in Salina.
