A driver fleeing law enforcement on Interstate 70 in Dickinson County died in a crash Friday night.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol a vehicle was headed east on I 70, attempting to flee KHP units. For an unknown reason the driver drove off the road into the south ditch and struck a cement culvert.

The driver, whose name was not yet released Satuday morning, was killed.

The crash happened Friday night at 8:19 on Interstate 70 at milepost 284, about 9 miles east of K 15 Highway.
