KSAL StaffDecember 11, 2015

A resident in the southeast part of Saline county lost two buildings on his property yesterday afternoon and another caught fire when he tried burning garbage in a trashcan.

Fire District 1 responded to the fire at 1:30PM on the 7100 block of East Hobbs Road. A 20×40 building that housed a lawn trailer and equipment and a building that housed car parts were lost entirely. A two-car detached garage was also burnt, but not totaled.

The total loss is not yet figured.
