Christmas Eve Burglary

Sarah ReppDecember 26, 2018

A burglary targeted a home in central Salina.

According to police, Christmas Eve between 10:45 AM and 4:20 PM a burglary occurred on E. Republic Ave.

Sarah Weis returned home to see her luggage was dumped on the floor. Upon searching the rest of the house, Weis discovered her backdoor had been kicked in. The burglar stole an HP laptop, Amazon tablet, cash, and a luggage bag. With the total estimated loss adding up to $1.300. Weis suspects her luggage bag was used to carry the other stolen items.

The home on E. Republic Ave. has been under construction for some time. Due to the many workers coming and going, there is no suspect at this time.

If you have any information please call the Salina Police Department or Crime Stoppers (785) 825-8477
