A Salina man was arrested after a little boy told authorities that his stepfather hurt him.
Police took 36-year-old Joseph Cubillas, II into custody after agents with the Department of Children and Families interviewed the 6-year old boy.
Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that last Friday, Cubbillas, II allegedly grabbed the boy by the throat while the two were in a bathroom and squeezed him until he could not breathe.
The boy reportedly had scratches on his neck and red marks on his forehead. Cubbillas, II is now facing charges that could include aggravated battery and child abuse.
