Burglars Hit Rural Garage

Multiple construction tools are stolen from an outbuilding.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that took place over the weekend in the 300 block of N. Simpson Road.

Deputies were contacted by Archie Ponton of Ponton Construction, after realizing someone entered his garage and took a number of power tools and saws.

Some of the tools are stamped “Ponton Construction.”

Deputies say the damage will total be over $2,000 in loss.
