Arrest Made after Salina Woman Beaten

A woman’s call for help leads to her partner’s arrest.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that officers took 26-year-old Dallas Taddiken into custody on Sunday after he allegedly beat her inside a home in the 900 block of Hancock.

Police say the domestic disturbance began after the 21-year-old woman confronted Taddiken who had come home intoxicated. Taddiken became violent and pushed her into a bedroom dresser, grabbed her by the neck and threw her into a wall – breaking the sheet rock. He then hit her in the head with a lantern, before holding her down on the floor as he punched her face.

The woman told officers she tried to hide in the bathroom but he stopped her and hit her in the back with a mirror before leaving.

The victim called 911 and was later checked by hospital staff for her injuries. Taddiken was found a short time later in the 1200 block of Flint and arrested.

He’s now facing multiple charges that could include aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property which totals $300.
